The Web Disk allows you to easily drag and drop files to your hosting account.
- You can create a Web Disk login and access your Web Disk below.
- Once your Web Disk is configured, you can then drag and drop files to it just like they are part of your home computer.
- You can also navigate through the files in your hosting account just as you do the files on your local computer.
- Web disks are relative to your account's home directory.

The cPanel Disk Usage Viewer allows you to see where the files are in your site that are taking up disk space.
- You can use the viewer to view all of the files in your site and find out how much space each file takes up. Please note that this number does not include files outside your home directory.
- This will show a different usage number than the statistics on the main screen of your interface.
- When the disk space usage page loads, it will default to the root directory of your web hosting account.

A file manager is provided with the CPanel. This allows you to perform basic file management tasks online – upload, download, rename, move, delete, and change permissions.
Ordinarily, an FTP program is the best tool to manage your website. However, this is not always possible for whatever reason, and it’s nice to know there’s a second solution. |

Backups allow you to download (to your computer) a zipped copy of either you entire site (your home directory, databases, email forwarders configuration, email filters configuration) or one of the previously mentioned parts of your site.
- These are not automatically scheduled backups. Automatically scheduled backups need to be enabled by the server owner / administrator.
- I recommend you download Joomla Pack Backup Extension and install on your website.

Uptime refers to the length of time that a web server has remained connected to the internet without requiring a restart. Reliable web servers can go weeks or months before needing a reboot.
All upgrades are schedules well in advance for all users to be notified. We also handle upgrades in the middle of the night when the least amount of traffic is affected.
Due to having a server farm with redundancy, we attempt to do rolling upgrades in order to only effect customers for minutes and not hours. |

A cgi-bin directory is one that stores executable scripts, such as Perl scripts. If you intend to program in languages such as Perl, your have access to CGI Bins and directories to save your scripts.
You do not necessarily need cgi-bin access to use programming languages such as PHP or ASP, however access to the cgi-bin directory would ordinarily be assumed on web hosts that support these programming languages.
If you download a cgi script off the internet — for example, a Guestbook or Event Calendar application — you may need to place the files inside the cgi-bin directory. The cgi script’s instructions should tell you if you need to set any special file permissions (using chmod) while installing the cgi script.
You should be wary of any script you place in the cgi-bin directory, because a badly written cgi script can cause serious problems for a web host. Similarly, many free cgi scripts, such as form-to-mail scripts, can be exploited through your website by a malicious user. Email spammers often look for unsecured formmail scripts through which millions of emails can be funnelled without a trace, so check with your web hosting provider first if you are not sure about a particular cgi script |

All sites are dreamweaver compatible and uploads can be handled directly from dreamweaver. |

Microsoft Frontpage Extensions |
|
|
|
|
Frontpage® Extensions allow you to publish your site directly from the FrontPage® application. This means that you will not have to upload files through FTP, or another method.
Installing or uninstalling Frontpage® Extensions will result in the loss of all ".htaccess" files in your web area. Any changes you have made to your ".htaccess" files will be lost. Any directories you have protected with WebProtect will become unprotected until you re-protect them. |

Database-driven websites allow for web pages to be dynamically created based on information stored in a separate database.
MySQL is one of the more popular database formats. Others include Microsoft SQL (MS SQL), PostgreSQL and Oracle. MySQL is complemented by PHP, which includes native functions to control a MySQL database. MySQL’s advantages are speed, stability and ease of use.
MySQL is an open source database language, which means it is free for personal, educational and commercial use.
While a single MySQL database could technically serve multiple uses, it is much more practical to use different MySQL databases for different websites, unless they are sharing content or purpose. If possible, choose a web host offering more than one MySQL database. |

Data transfer, sometimes referred to as bandwidth, refers to the amount of information passed to and from your website. Your website has 2,000 GB/Month upto unlimited. This should accomodate 99 percent of all websites. We do block spam websites and adult pornography websites. Every time somebody looks at a page on your website, or any file you have stored on the web server, data is transferred. This is measured in megabytes (MB) and gigabytes (GB). The larger the files are on your website, the more data will be transferred. You can estimate the amount of data your website will transfer in a month by calculating the size, in kilobytes (KB), of an average page request, and multiplying it by the number of page views your website will receive in a month. For example, if you have an HTML page with 6 small photos, the total size of the page might be 200KB. Because of browser caching, images repeated on other pages will not be downloaded again by the same visitor; so let’s estimate the total data transfer for a single visitor looking at several pages to be 300KB. Let’s now assume your website will receive, on average, 60 visitors per day. This equates to 1800 visitors per month and a total data transfer amount of 540MB. Of course, if your website is graphics-intensive, contains multimedia aspects, or offers files for download; this figure will be greatly increased. Web hosts’ data transfer offerings vary greatly, and can be between 500MB/month and 60GB/month. Web hosts not located in the United States will usually have much tighter limits on data transfers because they pay significantly more for the amount of data they transfer. |

The amount of disk space, in megabytes (MB), you are permitted to use in a chosen web hosting plan.
You have unlimited storage space for your website, but we do track bandwidth which is throttled to 15,000 GB/month, to ensure resources are being shared fairly between all customers. |
